FSReborn wants the mission to matter

Raul joined Flight Sim News for a wide-ranging look at where FSReborn is heading. The headline wasn't simply another aircraft update. It was a philosophy: give the aircraft something meaningful to do.

The TL3000 is getting a float-equipped sibling, bringing the lightweight high-wing machine to water operations. But the biggest reveal centred on the Phenom 300E, where FSReborn is building a medevac configuration around more than 50 medical scenarios rather than treating the conversion as a cosmetic cabin swap.

Murph's Take

“This is absolutely fantastic.” The medevac demonstration turned cabin altitude, temperature, patient condition and mission planning into things the pilot actually had to think about.

The Phenom goes medevac

FSReborn deep dive

Not just a stretcher in the back.

The demonstration generated an offshore medical mission involving a heart-attack patient. An ambulance approached the aircraft, the patient and medical team boarded, and the scenario imposed an operational restriction: keep cabin altitude at or below 3,400 feet.

With SayIntentions integration active, the assigned crew understood the medical backstory and relayed mission requirements without Murph manually feeding them the scenario. Cabin comfort also mattered: with the aircraft cold and unpowered during the demo, the medical team began reacting to the falling temperature.

“It's not just medevac, it's medical aviation transport. That's what this is.”

FSReborn also demonstrated a small controllable tug for the Phenom, designed to collect the nosewheel and manoeuvre the aircraft for pushback or hangar operations. Raul also discussed future ideas including engine-fire scenarios, emergency vehicles and interactive de-icing.

The week in flight sim

The wait is almost over

At the time of the show, iniBuilds' A380 was expected the following week, with neither an exact day nor price announced on air. The modelling and systems presentation impressed Murph; the big question was whether something this ambitious could deliver the performance and stability to match.

Murph's Take

The detail looks extraordinary. Now it has to “pack a punch” when real users get it into the sim.

The Sirius heads for the water

FSReborn's float-equipped TL3000 is being treated as a separate aircraft rather than a simple free variant. Raul described the very different handling created by putting floats beneath such a light airframe, while existing TL3000 owners are planned to receive a substantial discount.

Murph's Take

This is exactly the sort of machine that opens up places you simply couldn't use before — and one Murph immediately wanted to fly.

Helicopters get more to do

Digital Aeronautics' Mi-2 v1.2 brought the helicopter its first major MSFS 2024 update, including walkaround support, EFB, occupants, covers, plugs, chocks, revised LODs and flight-model work. HR Simyard also showed an H125 utility expansion with firefighting, concrete work, portable refuelling and Mission Hub integration.

The common thread is operational purpose: not simply another model, but more reasons to use the aircraft.

Surprise finale · iniBuilds

“Hang on. Standby.” Dubai V2 was actually installed.

The planned show was effectively over when an unexpected download turned into a first look at iniBuilds' upcoming Dubai International V2. The rebuild is being developed specifically around MSFS 2024 and iniBuilds has said it will be a free update.

Once the scenery loaded, the scale of OMDB — and the density of aircraft and ground detail around it — produced one of the night's strongest reactions.

Murph's Take

“This scenery is top drawer stuff.” Later: “It's impressive, lads, isn't it? It's very, very impressive.”

International man of mystery. Apparently.

A cold Tipperary walk, camouflage jacket, tuna and a glass of milk somehow became evidence that Murph may in fact be an international man of mystery. Then sushi entered the conversation and things deteriorated further.
